Most Successful Apex Predators
African Wild Dogs are the most successful hunters, achieving a kill 85% of the time! There are a few different reasons for their great success, including the fact that they hunt in packs allowing them to utilise strategies to take down much larger animals. This teamwork ensures that they can pursue prey over large distances, tiring them out until they can be easily captured. It is also interesting to note that many of the most successful hunters belong to the cat family, including the domestic cat 🐱.
