As the weather gets warmer, (or colder if you’re in the UK 😔) let’s take a look at where the hottest temperatures in the world were recorded. Obviously after this we take a look at the coldest places, and finally to finish off the rainiest (can you believe it’s not England?)
Hottest Temperatures Recorded
The hottest temperatures ever recorded on Earth have scorched regions with unfathomable heat. Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley, California, holds the record with a blistering 56.7°C (134°F) on July 10, 1913. This extreme heatwave turned the arid landscape into an inferno, setting a benchmark that still stands today. However, questions have arisen regarding the accuracy of this measurement due to inconsistencies in recording methods. Nonetheless, it serves as a stark reminder of the planet's capacity for intense and potentially dangerous weather phenomena.
